If you are looking to combine your passion for sports with a professional administrative role, the St. Catharines Rowing Club (SCRC) is looking for you! We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and self-motivated individual to join our team as a Club Administrator.
This is a unique opportunity to play a key role at one of the largest and oldest rowing clubs in Canada.

Join Our Team: Club Administrator

As the Club Administrator, you will be at the heart of our operations on Henley Island, providing critical support to our Head Coach and various rowing programs.

The Role at a Glance
Title: Club Administrator

Category: Period Contract Full-time (7-month contract)
Reporting To: Head Coach

Salary Range: $45,000 to $50,000 per annum (pro-rated to approximately $26,000–$29,000 for the 7-month term).
Location: Henley Island, St. Catharines, ON.

Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for a wide range of administrative and operational duties, with a major focus on our Youth Rowing Camp, Junior Development, and Grade 9 Introduction to Rowing programs. Your daily tasks will include:
Program Administration: Monitoring registrations and payments, assisting with budget controls, and performing data entry for race entries.

Communications: Responding to general inquiries, providing outreach to local schools, and assisting with social media and website updates.

Operations: Coordinating "Try-It-Days," assisting with regatta set-up and teardown, and working with the Head Coach to manage our fleet of shells and launches.

Safety & Compliance: Monitoring coach qualifications and ensuring adherence to "Safe Sport" policies and health requirements.

What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate is a self-directed problem-solver who thrives in a volunteer-driven, not-for-profit environment.
Education: A degree or diploma in Sport Management, Business, or a related discipline is a strong asset.

Skills: Proficiency in standard office software (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook), social media management, and corporate communications.

Qualifications: You must possess a valid Canadian driver’s licence and a Transport Canada Pleasure Craft Operator Card (or be willing to obtain one quickly).

Requirements: You must be eligible to work in Canada, pass a police records check, and provide your own laptop and cell phone.
