SCRC COVID-19 Policy
Updated: Monday, March 21, 2022
- In response to the ongoing COVID pandemic, and the COVID protocols in place for the Province, RowOntario, and CSSRA, this policy shall be applicable to all athletes, coaches, volunteers and visitors to the SCRC compound for the 2022 rowing season, or until modified by the Board of Directors.
- Unless accompanied by a doctor’s exemption stating explicitly that they cannot receive a vaccination, everyone wishing to enter the compound and participate in activities including, but not limited to, rowing training, regattas, christenings, and meetings, must provide confirmation that they have been fully vaccinated against COVID. SCRC encourages all athletes, coaches, volunteers and visitors to the compound to get a COVID Booster vaccination.
- While not mandatory as of March 21, 2022, athletes, coaches and visitors to the compound are encouraged to continue to wear a mask to protect both themselves and the immuno-compromised. We ask that everyone is respectful of others’ choices when it comes to masking.
- Every person entering the compound is encouraged to maintain a two (2) meter distance between themselves and others. The exceptions are: athletes carrying a shell between the boathouse and the dock; athletes when training and racing in a shell.
- All equipment cleaning protocols remain in effect for all rowers. All equipment shall be cleaned with soap and/or disinfectant after every use.
