Youth Rowing Program Inquiry
Youth Rowing CampThe Youth Rowing Camp program is a great way for youth ages 10-15 to learn about rowing. No experience is required. Campers learn everything about rowing, from boat handling to stroke technique. For those who have already tried and enjoyed rowing, the camp is a way to improve their skills!
Junior DevelopmentThe Junior Development program focuses on fun, fitness, and skills in rowing! Open to athletes who have completed grade 7 or above and who have completed a MINIMUM of two sessions of Youth Rowing Camp, or one session / season of junior development or high school rowing.
The Junior Development program focuses on building the fundamental skills so athletes can row comfortably in different conditions and with different crew members. Skills competitions (e.g., stationary balance, backing, spinning) are held at least once a week. The program can act as a launchpad for athletes who want to join the club competitive program, as well as be a place for athletes who love rowing but want to participate in other sports and activities as well.
