Athletes,
Thank you so much for your patience as the rowing club has worked through the details to getting us safely to the water. The Board of Directors deserves a huge round of applause for their guidance in these challenging times The St.Catharines Rowing Club formally announces that once athletes and coaches are able to complete required waivers, protocols and fees, we can be back to the water on Saturday June 6th. I have feedback from the many qualified scullers that responded to my email about available time. I will put together a schedule of your available times once I receive confirmation of 2020 summer fees being paid. The 2020 summer fee for those athletes that can row a club or privately owned single is $415. The fee must be paid before I can put you on the schedule to start. Payment by eTransfer is best… no contact. etransfer to [email protected] and create a security question with the answer - "rowing". Registration will be as usual, once you pay our Membership Director Brian Thorne will update your RCA account. There is a schedule because we MUST start out slow. We must start out with 5 athletes and one coach on a shift. It will take a few days to get everyone on the water to work out some kinks then we can progress… slowly. We are going to get this right the first time and to do so we must go slow. The plan is to then evolve into a friendlier schedule that allows us to bring more people to the water and therefore happier you, as long as we all continue to be safe. START UP PROTOCOLS There is a fair bit of reading that is needed as well as documents signed and brought to the boathouse These steps must be done in order for you to be allowed to the water
You arriving at the boathouse to row indicates that you have completed the above bullet points PLEASE take your time and read over the documents so that St.Catharines Rowing Club can FORGE AHEAD I am happy to chat about any questions you have Mark Welsh, Head Coach, St. Catharines Rowing Club Comments are closed.
